PTSA Volunteers
The success of our PTSA depends on parent participation. When you volunteer at Johnson, whether it's at one event or on a regular basis, you join us as a partner in your student's education. We appreciate any time or talents that you can give to our Jaguar community.

Please be sure to join Johnson HS PTSA through out Store so that you are ready to volunteer! Remember in order to volunteer at Johnson, you must complete the NEISD Volunteer Criminal History Record Check and review the NEISD Volunteer Code of Conduct.

Below are the typical volunteer opportunities available:
- General - Receive emails regarding all volunteer opportunities. Help out when you can.
- Library Helper- Assist librarians as needed from 8-9 am or 12-2 pm weekly or bi-weekly.
- Lost & Found/NECPTA Clothes Closet- Assist with displaying and monitoring lost and found items several times during the year. Volunteer once at the NEISD Council of PTAs Clothes Closet.
- Prep Days- Assist with ID and schedule distribution in August prior to school start.
- Student Volunteer Service Awards- Assist faculty coordinators with clerical data and awards ceremony.
- Red Ribbon Week/Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA)- Work with the school counselors to organize Red Ribbon Week activities in October and other awareness activities throughout the year.
- Reflections- Assist with Reflections art contest (September/October) and follow up with students who receive recognition.
- Senior Event - Help plan, organize and chaperone a safe, drug and alcohol free, all-night event on graduation night or other event for seniors. Plan and assist with other senior activities.
- Smart Driving Club- Assist chair in running student-led smart driving club to promote safe driving and remind drivers the dangers of driving distracted in our local community and throughout San Antonio.
- Staff Appreciation- Assist with staff appreciation lunches and/or provide food donations for events.
- Textbooks- Assist with the issue and return of textbooks in Aug, Dec, Jan, and May to students and teachers.
